packing

I'm coming back home! So I have years of stuff to pack and ship home. But what to take? This is me trying to decide what to pack...

this what ends up happening all the time I try and solve this problem:

Emptying old drawers that I had forgotten were full, finding lost art supplies and sketch books! Or this happens:

What should go home? clothes that I might fit into later if I can't afford to feed myself when I get back? Bottles of lotion that smell kinda funky now? old shoes? art supplies? hair ties? old makeup? books? birthday cards, pay stubs, tax papers, sheets, towels, pillow cases, costco sized bottles of meds? I don't know.

  1. WELL TO SAVE SPACE, YOU CAN SCAN ALL OF YOUR IMPORTANT DOCS,LIKE TAXES, PAYSTUBS, AND EVEN CARDS THAT YOU REALLY LOVE... SAVE THEM ON A USB OR EMAIL THEM TO YOURSELF THEN SHRED THE DOCS.

IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE CARDS, IT PROBABLY ISN'T THAT BIG OF A DEAL TO FIND SOME ROOM IN A BOX.

TRY TO KEEP ONLY THE THINGS THAT YOU LOVE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY FITS. YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING PRETTIER THAT FITS... ITS A HARD LESSON THAT I LEARNED AFTER MOVING 5 TIMES. YOU GET TIRED OF CARRYING A SWEATER OR TSHIRT THAT GOT STRETCHED OUT.

NAILPOLISH IS EASY TO REPLACE, UNLESS THERE WAS AN AWESOME ONE THAT YOU JUST CANT PART WITH THEN JUST KEEP THOSE.

ART SUPPLIES CAN BE EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE SO TRY TO KEEP AS MANY OF THOSE AS YOU CAN.

AND HEY IF YOU LOVE THE PILLOWS! YOU CAN ALWAYS REMOVE THE STUFFING FROM THEM AND THEN FILL THEM BACK OVER HERE. YOU CAN USE THEM, AND THE SHEETS TO WRAP UP YOUR DELICATE STUFF.

    BLANKETS CAN BE ANOTHER STORY...

LOTIONS CAN EASILY BE REPLACED WITH ONE OF BATH AND BODY WORKS SEMI ANNUAL SALES.

MEDS MIGHT NOT BE A BAD THING TO KEEP, I JUST DONT KNOW HOW STRICT CUSTOMS CAN BE. YOU MIGHT JUST HAVE TO PUT THEM IN BAGGIES AND STUFF THEM SOMEWHERE.

    SO THOSE ARE MY SUGGESTIONS...

  2. I have learned to cut down on my clutter after moving a few times. I also bought a shredder and set aside time every week to shred. Helps a lot. Hope your move was a success!
