why speedos? why?

I don't understand why Taiwanese dudes are all about the speedo? If you see one of those around back home you automatically think, "huh, that dude must be European. Or getting paid to wear that. Or lost a bet."

Because no self respecting man walks around in public in the closest thing to women's panties he could possibly wear.

I've seen more than I ever wanted to of old dudes and 12 year olds with puberty problems at the swimming pool. These issues could all be avoided with swimming trunks or board shorts or even grass hula skirts.
